I don't think there's any real "discussion" on religeon and science in this book. Basically what it does is to throw out a possibility, which provides an alternative biography of Jesus Christ. It's more about seeing Jesus as a normal human, not about the confrontation between religeon and science. But you'll find that topic being covered in Angels & Demons though.
Dan Brown is working on a third Robert Langdon book, set in Washington D.C., which is due later this year or early 2006. As a Washingtonian I can't wait to read what he has to say about my city :-) I've already visited the Meredian Line and many Freemason's sites. :-)
