Of course it is mathematics. John Nash's Noble prize was because of his work in game theory, and he is a mathematician.

I'd spent some time in studying combinatoric game theory and its application in cognitive radio. Btw it has nothing to do with AI, it is related wireless nodes in a ad-hoc wireless network. I am a complexity guy, and don't do any AI stuffs.
