When I first arrived in New Haven, to my surprise, I learned that he had never been a professor at Yale. For a short period of time, he served as a Chinese language instructor, a type of position not included in the Yale faculty. There have been many Chinese instructors working at Yale in the last 50 years, none of them have ever call his/her-self as a "professor". Another interesting aspec of Zhao's life is that he served as a reporter for the KMT's Central News Agency for many years, during which he wrote a large amount of anti-Communist reports. Check books under his name in any major China collection, such as those at Yale, Harvard, Columbia, and Berkely, you should be able to find those anti communist books. So "academic corruption" has a long history. ———————————————— 【新语丝电子文库(www.xys.org)(www.xys2.org)】
