　　上周五，美国大名鼎鼎的政论家法理德。扎卡里亚(Fareed Zakaria)，因涉
嫌抄袭而分别被<<时代>>杂志和“有线新闻网”(CNN)中止专栏总编和主持人职
务。

　　法理德。扎卡里亚是印度裔美国人。他生于印度孟买，获耶鲁大学文学士，
哈佛大学政治学哲学博士。读书期间，曾担任过耶鲁大学政治学会主席和<<耶鲁
政治月刊>>主编，哈佛大学<<外国事务>>执行主编等职。他的早期生涯主要是美
国报刊的政治和国际事务专栏撰稿人，并担任过美国大电视台ABC、CNN等的节目
主持人。最近的职务为<<时代>>杂志专栏总编和“有线新闻网”<<全球公共广场>>
节目主持人。

　　法理德。扎卡里亚涉嫌抄袭被爆是他在最近发生的科罗拉多电影院枪击案后

in the United States from the start. Laws banning the carrying of 
concealed weapons were passed in Kentucky and Louisiana in 1813, and 
other states soon followed: Indiana (1820), Tennessee and Virginia 
(1838), Alabama (1839), and Ohio (1859). Similar laws were passed in 
Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma. As the governor of Texas explained in 
1893, the "mission of the concealed deadly weapon is murder. To check 
it is the duty of every self-respecting, law-abiding man."

the actual history in Gunfight: The Battle over the Right to Bear Arms 
in America. Guns were regulated in the U.S. from the earliest years of 
the Republic. Laws that banned the carrying of concealed weapons were 
passed in Kentucky and Louisiana in 1813. Other states soon followed: 
Indiana in 1820, Tennessee and Virginia in 1838, Alabama in 1839 and 
Ohio in 1859. Similar laws were passed in Texas, Florida and Oklahoma.
